America Writes for Kids Children's book author, Sandy Asher, has many resources on her site. You can search for information about authors and their books alphabetically or by state. AMERICA WRITES FOR KIDS! is a project of the Drury University School of Education and Child Development, supported by the Springfield-Greene County Libraries. Its goal is to promote literacy and creativity by introducing young readers, parents, teachers, and librarians to the work of children’s authors. All children’s authors currently living in the United States who have at least one trade book available in the Springfield-Greene County Libraries are invited to join AMERICA WRITES FOR KIDS! The Association also hosts the annual ABA Convention in conjunction with BookExpo America each spring where books from small and major publishers are sold.
